Speaking Requests

R. Dwayne Betts has lectured on prison reform and juvenile justice issues at Georgetown University, Maryland University, Arizona State Law School, congressional briefings and many other forums. Betts has also given lectures on the impact of poetry in the community, and held workshops in universities and classrooms across the country. He has given readings from Shahid Reads His Own Palm and A Question of Freedom at many universities, public schools, detention centers and bookstores across the country.
